So Thursday we went to a retirement home to play games with old people for a few hours and when we got home, one of my old companions calls me freaking out and telling me that all these missionaries are getting sent home early and was wondering if I was too. I hadn't heard anything but the mere thought of having to end my mission early was really terrifying! Now I don't have to go home so that's a relief, but we did have to house two sisters that needed to fly out early. It was kind of stressful to help them get ready to fly back to America, but I'm glad that I got one last goodbye.
So of course all the church meetings were cancelled but our building did a cool broadcast to the members here in Den Haag and Amsterdam! And I got to play the piano for the service so I'm basically a famous movie star now. As far as members in the Netherlands go. But that was a super cool and spiritual experience to still gather and feel the spirit together, even if it was from home.
So today my spiritual thought will be a bit different. Through all this craziness there is one thing that I've noticed, how blessed I am with wonderful people around me. With not being able to visit people, we've had a few members that have made us food and dropped it off at our apartment and our bishop arranged for us sisters to still have the opportunity to partake of the sacrament. The Lord provides a way to bless us, even in hectic times. Love you all! Stay healthy, stay safe!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
