KWM to BNZ

Hey friends and fam, it's been a minute! Don't have a ton of time because today's been a bit crazy, but I'll just keep it to the important stuff.

So guess what? I left Kansas and actually made it to the Netherlands!!! Woop woop!! I absolutely loved serving in the Kansas Wichita Mission and it will forever hold a place in my heart!

But I do gotta say, Europe is SOOO beautiful!! It's a lot warmer for sure, but lots of rain and lots of green! And lots of Dutch. And yes this is the language they taught me in the MTC, I just don't understand it. The city I'm serving in is Emmen, Netherlands. It's right under Groningen, where my ancestors came from so that's pretty cool!! It's pretty small and everyone has said that the people here have the strongest accents... so yeah. But that only means I have a lot to learn right!! Not a whole ton has happened this week because my comp and I are both new to the area, so we've just been doing lots of knocking and street contacting. Which I think is very entertaining because I don't understand much what people say, but it's great! It rains a ton here and we bike EVERYWHERE!!! Dad and Jake would be so proud... But I'm very glad that sisters now get to wear pants, because it makes a world of a difference!!

Spiritual thought of the week! So I honestly was so nervous to come here to the Netherlands. I absolutely ADORED Kansas and the people there. I didn't want to leave! But there's that whole song dedicated to going where the Lord wants you to go, so I got on a 7 hour flight to this crazy beautiful country! And it has not been easy or comfortable!! But having people actually speak Dutch back to me instead of English, understanding what one person said when they told us "No" at a door contact, I feel sincerely blessed!! God is aware of each and every one of us! He's aware of YOU! And how cool is that? Look for miracles everyday because they're there and they make everything so much better!! Love you all lots!!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
