The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer Is Singing Loud for All to Hear

Hey hey how's the weather in your neck of the woods? Here, it's cold, dark, and rainy. I do wish that I could see the sun sometime or at least have snow, but you live with what you got and keep on dreaming for that white Christmas.

Fun events of the week:
The most incredible thing happened this week! December 5th in the Netherlands is Sinterklaas! Basically Dutch Santa. We were on exchanges that day so we had 4 sisters in one apartment. And Sinterklaas knew that we would all be in one place and actually visited us!!! We woke up Thursday morning with treats in our shoes and it made me so happy! I KNEW he was real!! ;)

We also got to do something that I've never tried before... caroling. Normally I'm opposed to this kind of thing because I can't sing super well and you always get uncomfy looks. But we gathered us missionaries and sang our hearts out at a little shopping center. The cute member that came bought us cute Christmas sweaters and it was a BLAST! Fortunately, there was a piano, so I didn't have to sing the whole time, but I haven't had that much fun in a LONG time!!

Spiritual thought for this week: now, throughout my mission I have noticed a problem I have as a missionary and as a person... I'm a perfectionist. And I always feel like if I don't do this or that to a certain level of expectation, then I'm a failure. Sometimes that can drive me to do my best, but lately, it's been a bit of a constant let down. An article I read last week talked about how perfection is not at all expected in this life. However hard we try, we won't be able to achieve it. However, what we can do is live worthily. Our Savior will help us get to perfection, but living worthily will help us get to Him so He can take us the rest of the way.
Love y'all and hope you have a great week!!

Love,
Zuster Kapp
