Tot Ziens 2019 Hallo 2020!!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a stellar Christmas! I sure did. Seriously though, it was a party. On Christmas Eve we went to one of our member's houses and just had a knitting party before dinner. We spent the night with the other sisters so we could have Christmas morning together. Twas a party with all the gals! Christmas day we were able to go to our ward mission leader's house and have a good time with all us missionaries there.

Something cool about the Netherlands... 2nd Christmas. We love getting to have extra excuses to party. There is a new American family that moved into the ward a few weeks ago and we went over to their house and celebrated with them. I'm so grateful for so many loving people here that do so much to make us feel a little bit of home away from home.

Miracle for this week! A few weeks ago, one of the ladies we were teaching decided that she didn't want to meet with us anymore. It was kinda weird because I felt like we had a good relationship with her so I was pretty sad. But she had messaged us this week and said that she missed us coming over and asked us if we could start visiting again. AND she even came to church on Sunday!! So blessed!

Now funny story of the week. I had to give a talk during sacrament meeting on Sunday which I was really nervous for. It was my first time giving a talk in Dutch and was basically dreading it. But as I was standing by the door greeting incomers... MY MISSION PRESIDENT WALKS IN!!! It made me about 27x more nervous about giving my talk, but I did it and I'm pretty sure that I even did it in Dutch.

But a cool spiritual thought. As I was preparing for my talk I learned a lot of cool things about the importance of goal setting. As the new year is coming on, we naturally have all our goals we make, but one good goal we all can make is to come closer to Christ this year. Struggling with ideas for goals this year? Try making a plan of things you can do to come closer to Christ this year. Love you all and have a great new year and week!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
