Have You Made Any Reservations?

Okay. Guys. New Years here is nuts. But it was so much fun. We spent the evening at a member's house and ate some really good food and played some good games. After we got back to our apartment, we got all settled in, and that's when the crazy stuff started. Constant fireworks until like 2 in the morning. It was INSANE!! I did not get much sleep, but that's okay! Everyone is too drunk on New Years day so we weren't allowed to contact anyone. So we just enjoyed a nice day in the church watching movies with my district.

So funny day of the week. We volunteer at the food bank every week and one of the main workers came out to greet us right? He usually talks to us in English for some reason, but he asks me, "Have you made any reservations?" I was SOOO confused, but when he mentioned something about the new year, I realized that he meant something about resolutions lol. Made me laugh.

Sorry it's kinda short this week, but spiritual thought for this week. I was reading a conference talk by Elder Holland about being perfect...eventually. Something he said that really stuck out to me was how relentlessly beating ourselves up is not the purpose of us achieving perfection. Yes we need to continually improve ourselves, but just as we shouldn't demean and criticize others, we shouldn't do that to ourselves. We are all beloved children of God and need to treat ourselves like we are. Love you all tons and have a great 2020! Keep it up on those goals!!!
