So cool events from this week, we tried a new service activity for this week instead of the typical food bank and it was actually super cool. We went to this place that puts birthday boxes together for kids that normally wouldn't have anything on their birthday. It was super fun to do and I learned that I have a hidden talent with a tape gun. Future career? Just kidding. But it was cool to work with a bunch of people that just want to serve.
Another cool story. We have this one member that was baptized a little less than a year ago and he's super awesome! He gives us language lessons every now and then and we've built up a pretty good relationship with him. His wife is not a member yet, but comes to church with him almost every week and invited us over for dinner. At first I just thought that she was coming to church to support him and didn't want anything further with the church. But after we ate dinner, we were just talking about random stuff and she just says, "Yeah, one day I'll get baptized. I just need to get more used to the church." WHAAATT!? It was super cool to see the effect of his influence and her faith to continue learning more until she's ready.
Spiritual thought for this week. I was studying gratitude and I read a super interesting talk that mentioned something I never thought of before. I don't remember the talk at all... But it said that there's a difference between being grateful for things and having an attitude of gratitude. When we're only grateful for things, it's sometimes hard to stay positive when life isn't going the way we want/planned. That is definitely something I need to work on so great eye opener! Well I love you all tons and hope you have a fabulous week!!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
