But hey, I made it through my first almost full week here in Zoetermeer! It's honestly been a really weird adjustment, but I'm really enjoying it so far. It's a smaller city which is a big difference coming from Rotterdam, but I love getting to bike around everywhere, even though I'm super out of shape and can't keep up with my comp lol. Give me a few weeks and I'll be solid!
This area is super cool though! We have some cool people that we're teaching and there's two wards here (a Dutch and an English) so it's been super fun to get to know new people. I feel kinda bad that I really don't remember anyone's names' though... OH WELL!!! But they've all been super loving and welcoming! It made me so happy to walk into a dinner appointment my first day and hear the mom call out my name before I even introduced myself! I truly am very blessed!!
So as I said, we had a super windy day yesterday and we bike everywhere. Getting to church wasn't too bad, but the wind really kicked in by the end of the second ward. So my comp and I hopped on our bikes ready for a wild adventure!! Oh my gosh, it was so windy! There were gusts so strong that I literally wasn't moving forward anymore. And then my mouth got super dry because I was laughing so hard! Twas quite the experience. But because we had to stay inside all day, my comp and I had a great opportunity to get to know each other...which resulted into lots of laughing about really stupid things. That's what happens when you're stuck inside all day!!
But spiritual thought for this week. In Relief Society we talked about the talk from last conference about increasing our spiritual capacity. As I was studying it during the week, one of her points really stood out to me. She talked about the importance of making that daily appointment to hear the voice of the Lord. Picking a time and a place and exactly keeping it every single day. Something that I've noticed over and over again is that recognizing personal revelation takes lots and lots and lots of practice. But having that moment every single day to personally talk with our Heavenly Father and being prepared to receive answers will help us to increase our ability to recognize His voice.I love you all super tons and have a great week!!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
