Colds, Rainstorms, and Smiles

Hey guys. Another week has come and gone and I've been hit with the all popular C-virus! Don't worry, it's just a head cold, not the corona virus. But other than an annoying cold, we actually had a really good week!!

So this week we got to be on exchanges over Valentine's Day and that was a party. Because we made it a party! My cute comp made pink pancakes and cut various fruits into heart shapes. And we of course had to celebrate with pizza and ice cream.

Another cool event. On Sunday we had an awesome lesson with a couple we are teaching and our bishop. Probably one of the most spiritually powerful lessons I've had on my mission. This couple was a little bit stressed about things they needed to get done before they got baptized. It was a lot of back and forth talking about different topics and the environment was just tense and stressed. But the bishop pointed to a painting of Christ in the room and said, "Just take a look at the man in charge. Let's just put it in His hands, and it will all work out how it needs to." The spirit came in so strong so fast and it was a great reminder for me that Christ is on our side and He stands ready to help us with whatever we need. We just need to trust him.

Spiritual thought for this week. I was reading a super cool talk yesterday about being more concerned with what Heavenly Father thinks about us than what the world thinks. Sometimes we look around us and compare ourselves to the other person that may be a little bit better than us. When really, the most important opinion is that of our Savior and Heavenly Father. As we continually strengthen our relationship with Jesus Christ, we can have courage when we look up to Him instead of others around us. Love you all tons and have an awesome week!!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
