Look Up

¡Hola mi amigos y familia! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I hope you have the opportunity to eat as many tacos, burritos, and queso as your heart desires!! Today is actually a very special day here in the Netherlands but for other reasons. It's their liberation day from Germany during WWII. We actually live super close to a memorial so we got to see people laying flowers on it keeping a safe 1.5 meter distance haha.

This week was pretty good for us. We had quite a few appointments and meetings that kept us pretty busy so that's always nice. It was quite a rainy week and got totally soaked during one of our designated outside times. Riding your bike in the pouring rain can be pretty fun when you just laugh about it.

We had a super cool appointment yesterday with a super energetic and religious woman that we found looking through old records. She told us a super cool story about how she needed a major heart surgery and during the surgery her heart stopped for a substantial amount of time. But luckily the doctors brought her back. She told us that God's plan is so perfect and we all have a reason to be here. It was such a beautiful testimony that through thick and thin, God has us here for a reason. I couldn't agree more!!

So I read a cool talk this past week from Elder Holland about burdens and trials in life. He talked a bit about Moses when he was leading the Israelites out of Egypt. When they approached the Red Sea he realized that they were in quite the pickle. Desert to their left and right, Pharaoh and his armies behind, and a sea right in front. Everywhere he looked there seemed to be darkness, so what does he do? He looks up and asks God what to do. I feel like especially in times like these we can feel like the storms of live seem to be encircling us on every side. But Christ and Heavenly Father are with us EVERY step of the way. We just need to look up and reach for Him. Love y'all a ton and hope you have a blessed week!
Con amor,
Zuster Kapp

Pics: Not sure what this is, so I decided to sit on it..., Dutch Memorial Day, and Nederland is getting green!!
