What a Weird Week

Well, I officially made it to Utrecht! Long day of transfers and lots of stuff to haul, but I made it alive and well. And Utrecht... yeah this place is a lot different. Emmen was a cute, quiet town and Utrecht is...not. But I'm still adjusting and it's a good time with my new comp! Seriously though, we party!

This week was honestly really weird. It was super hard saying goodbye to Emmen and all of the people I've grown to dearly love. But God has a purpose for everything and I have a reason to be here in Utrecht. My comp and I have been out the exact same amount of time, so we're both really confused about what we're supposed to do and what not, but it's been good to figure it out together and trust that everything will work out how it should! Definitely one of those trial of faith experiences, but amazing miracles happen everyday!!

Funny story of the week, so Saturday night, we were getting ready for bed and what not, then we get a text from one of the members asking if any of us could play the piano/organ in sacrament meeting. Zuster Asay, knowing I play, automatically replied with a "Yes! Zuster Kapp knows how to play the piano!" So we showed up and I plucked through this traditional Dutch hymn that even the members hardly know and that was my first impression on the ward here! Hopefully I didn't damage too many relationships with my lack of sight reading skills...

But since I didn't share an Easter thought last week (at least I don't think I did) I'll share one today!! One thing I've noticed about being on a mission is how weird us missionaries are about holidays lol. But while we were in sacrament meeting, one of the speakers shared a really profound thought. He said that the two most important holidays to be celebrated are Christmas and Easter. Why? Because they're centered around Christ, who should be the center of out lives. I'm so grateful for my loving Savior who willingly sacrificed so much for me. Matthew 28:6 Love you all so much!

Love,
Zuster Kapp
