6 months, 5 companions, 4 areas, 3 countries, 2 languages, 1 missionary

Holy week 2 in Maastricht? I'll be honest, it feels like I've been here forever, but in a good way! Some funny/interesting stories from last week:

Last Tuesday we missed our bus on the way home from a dinner appointment, so we ended up biking home at 9:30 at night in the middle of a thunderstorm haha. You know it's windy when you have to pedal hard going downhill! And because of that thunderstorm, a tree blew over on the train tracks so it took us 8 hours to get to and from district meeting the next day. That was weird. But we all made it safely thank goodness! Missions are awesome.

The rest of this week was filled with a lot of more finding to help those children of God come closer to Him. It's always exhausting, but we see miracles everyday and God's hand is in the work! But to keep us all sane, we did take some time to celebrate Z. Lampros's birthday and Z. Stanger's 17 month mark. (They're the other companionship in my apartment). I'm always looking for an excuse to eat some chocolate cake. I also had to speak in sacrament meeting on Sunday. It was a little weird to do it on my second Sunday here, but the spirit was there to get me through. (Not a fan of public speaking).

So something I've been pondering a lot about this week is the last 6 months of my life. Not sure if my subject line gave any indication, but I've been on my mission for a whole 6 months! I'm a whole third of the way done! I'll be honest, it's been a really big roller coaster! I've wondered if the work I've done is enough, if I'm doing a good job, if I'm being the best Zuster Kapp that I can be. I know some days have been hard, but reflecting on it all, I have absolutely LOVED being a missionary. The things I've been able to learn about myself and being able understand just a sliver of God's love and plan for His children has made it all worth it. I'm not sure what the next year has in store for it, but if it's anywhere near as spectacular as the last 6 months have been, I'm so excited for it. This work is so great and SOO fun! The good news of the gospel is for everyone and I'm so grateful that I get to share it! Thank you all for your love and support! Love y'all lots!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
