So quick run down of the week. We had interviews on Wednesday which are always something to look forward to! I had some great conversations with my mission president and his wife. It is so amazing to feel the great love they have for all of us missionaries! I'm so grateful for all they do for us and the time they dedicate to helping us become better.
This week was filled with a little more appointments which is always nice to break up the finding. We had some very interesting appointments and some really great ones. It always makes me laugh a little bit when people are telling you what you don't believe in, but then repeat exactly what you said when they share with you their own beliefs. Hehe. We had a super cool appointment yesterday with this family we found last week! As soon as we walked into their front room, I saw a little keyboard next to the couch. I asked their daughter if she played at all, and with a somber look on her faced replied with a, "Nee." So naturally I had to teach her a few songs to pluck out! It was so exciting to see her face light up when she had Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all memorized in only like 20 minutes! Smart kid and it was one of those tender mercies that always make my day.
Spiritual thought of this week: Lately I've been trying to read through all the talks from conference last week. One of them talks about how sometimes we don't get answers to our prayers right away, but we can feel peace and comfort, knowing we will eventually get an answer. This week was kinda rough for me, and I wasn't entirely sure why. So one night I got on my knees and asked God why I'm here. I just wanted to know why he sent me here at this moment in this particular land. Honestly, I haven't gotten my answer yet. I don't totally know the "why" for being here. But I do know that I have a purpose here. And I think that's the exciting part. Figuring stuff out yourself and creating the success you personally desire. God is good all the time and I'm so grateful for the hope and peace comes from knowing I have an eternal Father in Heaven who loves me more than I can imagine. I love y'all super tons and have a great week!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
Sorry I wasn't good with pics this week, but here's one of a cool church I bike past everyday.
