Still Waiting for Summer to End...

Hoi y'all! First week of the transfer is complete so now we're in full swing here in Maastricht. This week was super chill yet super crazy. We've had some super good visits with the wonderful people we teach. They're super awesome and it's seriously so cool to see people do the things that invite the spirit into their lives.

Super cool event that happened on Saturday, we had a baptism in the ward!! She lives in a city that's too far outside of our area so some awesome members have been teaching her and she accepted to take that step to be baptized. It was a super cool and spiritual experience and I'm grateful for the chance I had to attend.

Unfortunately, I finally got plagued with a very uncomforting illness. Still not sure what exactly caused it, but after 9 months, I was bound to get horrible sick. But my dear sweet companion was so gracious to attend to my needs and was so patient with my awnry sick self. Bless my heart I got stuck with a good one. But I'm on the road to recovery so we're both hoping that she avoids whatever the heck I had to deal with.

So this past week I was reading the talk by Sharon Eubank from last conference about connecting ourselves to Christ so we can experience more light. It had some really good insights on ways to lighten up our lives, but one of her last quotes was something that I really needed to hear this week. "I testify you are beloved. The Lord knows how hard you are trying. You are making progress. Keep going. He sees all your hidden sacrifices and counts them to your good and the good of those you love. Your work is not in vain. You are not alone. His very name, Emmanuel, means 'God with us.' He is surely with you." This was so comforting because I feel like often we truly feel like we're doing our best, but it's still not enough. But God sees our efforts and He KNOWS perfectly how hard we try and is so proud of us for our it. Love and miss y'all and hope you have an awesome week!
Love,
Zuster Kapp
