Two Decades and Belgium

Hey guys! I just want to send out a big fat THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes!! I felt SO loved even though I'm on the other side of the world. But before we get to the actual birthday, we had some cool stuff happen leading up to it. We had our zone conference in Antwerpen this week and twas such a blessed experience. I absolutely love getting to see some of my best friends that I've met on the mission and gain some great spiritual upliftment on top of it.

Cool story on the way home from our zone conference. So because Maastricht is in such a weird place in the Netherlands, the fastest way to get home is kinda complicated. We have to go down to Brussels and back up through Liege which is a French part of Belgium. Now usually we do this with the elders in our ward, but because they had exchanges with our zone leaders, we had to make the trek by ourselves... Now fortunately we figured it out and actually met a really cool lady who was also a little lost in the Liege station. We had a super cool conversation with her and she was very excited to meet up with us again!!

Now my lovely companion was so sweet and tried to make my birthday a good time for me. And despite getting sick, I definitely felt SO loved by the amazing ward members here. I am so grateful to be serving here in Maastricht!

Spiritual thought for this week: Matthew 10:39. Something I've been studying a lot lately is the importance of forgetting about ourselves and getting lost in the service of others. Doing this we actually discover ourselves and we change for the better. But what I've found interesting is that we don't even realize this change is happening. When truly focusing on others, we don't see ourselves changing, but that's okay! We just keep going and trying to help God's precious children and it will all be to our benefit! Seriously though, love you all super tons and I hope ya'll have a fabulous week!!!

Love,
Zuster Kapp
