Oh You're From Holland! That's Why I Can't Understand You!

Hey hey y'all!! Quick reference to my subject line... hehe. So I was on the phone with a member who currently lives in Belgium. Now this member's native language is not Dutch, but had learned a little bit after living here for some time. Now Belgian Dutch is VERY different from Dutch Dutch, so when she found out that I live in the Netherlands and I learned my Dutch from Nederlanders, that was her response... I'm choosing to take it as a compliment!!!

Anyway a quick cut to the big news!! My comp and I will both be staying together here in Maastricht. How do I feel about this? Weird if I'm honest, but I love this city and have faith that there's a reason for both of us to be working here together.

Not a lot happened this week other than a few lessons with some awesome people and naturally lots of looking for those ready for this great message. So spiritual thought time!!! Upon receiving my call that I would not be transferred, I was a little bit disappointed. I thought I was ready to move onto a new city, that I'd prepared my comp well enough to take on the area, and I'd worked well with our investigators and the members. I was honestly looking more at the negative side of this whole situation... But I was reading a talk by President Monson about how we need to count our blessings. To take a life inventory and see how blessed we are, whether they be small or large blessings. And wow, not even my whole mission, but just my time in Maastricht has been a HUGE blessing!!! I've seen myself grow in ways I didn't know I needed to grow in and I've learned to love these amazing people. Feeling a little less than blessed? Just try looking back on the past week and see how merciful the Lord has been. Love you all and have a great week!!!
Love,
Zuster Kapp

Pics: didn't take a lot this week, but here's some of the Limburgers
