Prepare Every Needful Thing

Hi guys. Well, I officially wore a hole in my favorite pair of black pants and Corona is
officially in the Netherlands. But other than that, our week was super good! We were super busy meeting with a lot of super cool people which is always a joy! I think one of my most favorite parts of missionary work is getting to see the lives of other people and how different we all think, act, and work. Sometimes I think I learn more about what it means to have strong faith and trust in the Lord from the people we meet with than what we come prepared to talk with them about!

So last pday was probably one of the most fun days EVER! We got together as a district to eat some lunch and then we went BOWLING!!! I was a bit worried because the last time that I bowled was with my family right before I came out on my mission, but after a rough warm up turn, my skills came back to me! I'm still expecting my victory ice-cream from the elders, but we still had a great time nonetheless.

So one super cool thing that we get to do every week is service at this nursing home where most people have dementia. They have a little keyboard and my comp brings her violin and we just play music for the old people there for a few hours. This last week when we went we were playing "I Am a Child of God" and I thought I heard some of the people humming along to it. I thought I was going a little crazy, but when my comp mentioned something about it after, I realized I was still sane. But it's super cool to see the power that music brings and how quickly it invites the spirit.

Spiritual thought for this week! So I feel like a hot topic in the church is preparing for this upcoming general conference. I've been trying to do that, but I was re-reading President Nelson's last talk from conference for a little more inspiration about how I can better prepare. Something cool that I didn't notice before is how he mentioned that we need to prepare to welcome the Savior. Yes general conference is going to be special, but we need to receive inspiration/revelation throughout our whole lives. We need to be constantly preparing spiritually for what the Lord has in store for us. Love you all and hope you have a great week!
Love,
Zuster Kapp

Pics: new ice cream shop opened! Bowling champs (don't let the standing fool you, I totally beat them both...), and a baptism in Den Haag we went to!
